Spring Branch Animal and Bird Sanctuary (SBABS) cares for parrots and other pets that are in need of a helping hand.

We have accepted pets due to a litany of reasons, including: owners passing away, inability to provide proper care, relocation, abandonment, animal protection seizures, financial hardship - the list is endless.

SBABS has also taken in animals born with deformities, or other medical conditions, which otherwise would have been euthanized.

All animals accepted to SBABS receive mental stimulation, proper diet, and love and attention.  All animals receive a medical checkup and care by Dr. Fronefield and his staff at ABC Animal and Bird Clinic.  Dr. Fronefield and his veterinary staff are ABVP Avian Vet Certified, and have been in practice for over two decades.

Our goal is to find loving permanent homes for all of the animals we receive. Unfortunately, some cannot be adopted out due to extreme mental or medical conditions. These animals will be cared for by SBABS for the duration of their lives.

While we specialize in parrots and birds, SBABS also takes in abandoned kittens and puppies, covers the cost of spaying/neutering and finds and places them in permanent homes.

SBABS is a 501(C)3 nonprofit organization and all funds received go directly towards the care of our animals.  Some of our rescues can spend weeks at a time receiving medical care - this is very expensive. Donations are desperately needed and appreciated.
